Everything went Masconomet Regional's way against Newburyport last Friday as they made off with a 23-0 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Masconomet Regional.
Meanwhile, we expected Pentucket Regional to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Bishop Fenwick, and they did. Pentucket Regional found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-33 punch to the gut against Bishop Fenwick. This makes it the second loss in a row for Pentucket Regional.
Masconomet Regional took their match against Pentucket Regional the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 35-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Masconomet Regional since the team won't have home-field advantage.
