Sayani Long Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Granite Hills's Sayani Long, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Long rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (101.6) per game. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
This season, Long has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 101.6 rushing yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Nicholas Gaoa Leads Barstow over Victor Valley
On Friday, Barstow got the W thanks in part to Nicholas Gaoa playing the best football he has all season. Gaoa rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (115.8) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Barstow's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Gaoa and Barstow will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Silverado at 7:30 p.m. on October 24th.

Dwayne Williams Goes Supernova in Barstow Win
Keeping Gaoa company is Dwayne Williams, a fellow Barstow player. He rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Victor Valley had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Williams it was a similar story. Williams rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes the last time he and the Jackrabbits duked it out back in October of 2023.

Silverado Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Jace Weiss
Silverado picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jace Weiss. Weiss turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Weiss and Silverado will venture away from home to take on Adelanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Weiss took on the Saints, he threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Vic Villa Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Vic Villa of Victor Valley. Villa's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
With the loss, Victor Valley broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1. Villa and Victor Valley will take on Granite Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
