The Westmont Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Leigh Longhorns at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Westmont's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Leigh has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Westmont put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They really took it to Willow Glen for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-7 victory at home. 34 seems to be a good number for Westmont as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Leigh came up short against Ann Sobrato on Saturday and fell 13-6.
Shayan Shariat put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Westmont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Leigh, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-3.
Westmont took their victory against Leigh in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 42-17. Does Westmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Leigh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
