Meanwhile, Austin Prep put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put the hurt on Cathedral/Cristo Rey with a sharp 36-6 win. Austin Prep were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Austin Prep's victory lifted them to 3-3 while St. John Paul II's defeat dropped them down to 5-1. We'll see if Austin Prep's success rolls on or if St. John Paul II are able to steal their positive momentum.
