Carver extended the longest winning streak in 6A Region 3 this week by beating Anniston, 57-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Wolverines.
Lanier and Hillcrest played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Lanier eventually emerging with a 32-26 victory.
Carver's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Draequon Murphy threw for 152 and three touchdowns and Antonio Dunn had 63 yards receiving. On the ground Camdon Foster chipped in 169 yards. Charles Standberry helped Carver's passing attack out by catching four balls for 39 yards.
Carver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolverines feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jeremy Johnson has thrown for 2211 yards and 28 touchdowns this season, while Landy Capetillo has 31 catches for 644 yards. Harvey Harris leads the league in rushing with 1216 yards.
Billy Gresham's team took down the Bulldogs 57-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Murphy in the win.
