On Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for Chilton County in a 60-43 victory over John Carroll Catholic.
Chilton County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Iasia Anderson out in front who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ishunti Brown, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Chilton County has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Chilton County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Moody at 11:30 a.m. on December 22nd. Moody is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. John Carroll Catholic will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Bessemer City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
