The Trinity Wolves are taking a road trip to take on the Fall River Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity will be strutting in after a win while Fall River will be coming in after a defeat.
Trinity is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Etna with a sharp 28-6 victory on Friday. The Wolves pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carver Dresselhaus, who threw for 195 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 54 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. The dominant performance also gave Dresselhaus a new career-high in passer rating (138.6). Wes Dresselhaus was another key player, gaining 178 total yards and a touchdown.
Trinity's run defense was locked in: Etna could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Dresselhaus for the heroic effort on defense: he. Trinity didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.9.
Trinity's defense didn't let Carter Isbell, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Dresselhaus was the leader with two.
Meanwhile, Fall River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 40-28 to Modoc.
Trinity will have to keep a close watch on Raul Iniguez and Abraham Estes, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fall River's prior game. Iniguez rushed for 73 yards and a pair of scores, while Estes rushed for 94 yards. Iniguez also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Isaiah Vargas was in the mix too, providing Fall River with one TD.
Fall River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Iniguez and James Taylor. Fall River received some extra help from Vargas, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
The win made it two in a row for Trinity and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Fall River, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
Trinity suffered a grim 52-30 defeat to Fall River in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
