Despite the defeat, Kentridge saw an underclassman step up: Simone Brown scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Andrea Pop was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Notre Dame Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Frankel, who scored 14 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Nowak, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Kentridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Notre Dame Prep, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Kentridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Eugene at 10:00 a.m. on December 30th. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will face off against Sunnyslope at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Sunnyslope is ranked 24th, while Notre Dame Prep is ranked 23rd).
