The Victor Valley Jackrabbits''s game on Thursday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adelanto. Victor Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Victor Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hezekiah Jenkins. Despite the final result, he rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Jenkins was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Mario Smith was a one-man wrecking crew for Adelanto as he rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Shakir Collins, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Victor Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Adelanto, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Victor Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Adelanto is also done with their season.
