Softball Recap: Wilson Wins Going Away Against Akron

Wilson won the last time they faced Akron and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lakemen blew past the Tigers 17-4. The match marked the Lakemen's most dominant win of the season so far.

Mackenzie Hardy was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Rowan Simpson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Wilson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Akron, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Wilson will square off against East Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Akron, they will take on Newfane at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
