Estacada won against Valley Catholic last week, and Estacada decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Estacada made easy work of Molalla and carried off a 28-6 victory. Estacada were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Estacada's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 16 points in the first half. Molalla came up with 6 to make it 16-6 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Estacada in the second half and held Molalla to 0 points. The win bumped Estacada's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Molalla back to even at 1-1.
Estacada will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Astoria. Molalla are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Woodburn at 7:00 PM.
