Milby strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Madison Marlins 18-1. Considering the Buffs have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Gabriela Villarreal made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
