The third road game was the charm for Walnut Ridge, as they earned their first road win of the season. Everything went their way against the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds on Thursday as the Walnut Ridge Bobcats made off with an 11-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Walnut Ridge let COLLIN ANDREWS and JACE BLAKE run wild. ANDREWS went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while BLAKE scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That home run marked the first that ANDREWS launched this season. Another player making a difference was RILEY RICHEY, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Walnut Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Sloan-Hendrix's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walnut Ridge will head out to square off against West Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so West Memphis' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they are taking a road trip to take on Hoxie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
