On Saturday, McCurtain was able to grind out a solid victory over Webster, taking the game 52-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for McCurtain.
Webster's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hondo Avington, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Amondre Davis, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
McCurtain's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Webster, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
McCurtain and Okay will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Okay knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully McCurtain likes a good challenge. Webster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
