Hunter Harper was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aidan Tapp, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Conner Mitchell was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Vancleave's win bumped their record up to 24-5. As for Brookhaven, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
