Peaster is 0-3 against Pilot Point since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Peaster Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Pilot Point Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. Peaster will be strutting in after a victory while Pilot Point will be coming in after a defeat.
Peaster's five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ponder 34-0 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Peaster's seven-point performance the match before.
Peaster can attribute much of their success to Ty Steedley, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 103 yards and a touchdown. Kaden Albert and his 85 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Peaster's victory.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Pilot Point, who are still winless after their eighth match. They fell to Boyd 27-21.
Pilot Point's defeat came about despite a quality game from Aiden Hamblin, who threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Peaster's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Pilot Point, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Peaster suffered a grim 32-6 defeat to Pilot Point in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can Peaster avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
