Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ava). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-7 win over the Cabool Bulldogs. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ava's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Lane, who rushed for 46 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 19 yards and one TD. Lane didn't just play on offense: he also defended one pass and snagged an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Lane was just one part of a punishing run game: Ava was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 209 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

The victory got Ava back to even at 4-4. As for Cabool, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Ava has already played their next contest, a 77-36 win against Willow Springs on the 24th. As for Cabool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-6 defeat against Salem on the 24th.
