The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mercer Christian Academy has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Mercer Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kayley Trump. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Trump is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Botts, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Mercer Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Greenbrier East, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
