The Kenwood Bluebirds can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They breezed by Patapsco at home to the tune of 66-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kenwood.
Kenwood found their leader in underclassman Diamond Watters, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Watters has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ayanna Alark, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Patapsco saw an underclassman step up: Kayla Gross scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Gross is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ania Evans, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Kenwood now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Patapsco, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Kenwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Kenwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Monday. As for Patapsco, they will head out on the road to take on Western Tech & Environmental Science at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Patapsco is coming into the match with three straight losses on the road, meaning Western Tech & Environmental Science will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
