Softball Recap: Queensbury Wins Going Away Against Amsterdam

Queensbury came out on top against Amsterdam on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Spartans blew past the Rams 14-1. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Haylee Hayes was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Olivia Bishop also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Queensbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Queensbury's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Amsterdam, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Queensbury has already played their next match, a 9-7 defeat against Hudson Falls on the 13th. As for Amsterdam, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-1 loss against South Glens Falls on the 13th.
