Avery Dungan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Lyla Williams was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ava Griffin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
