The Bozeman Bucks will be playing at home against the Holmes County Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Bozeman's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Port St. Joe 41-37.
Meanwhile, Holmes County pushed their score all the way to 65 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ponce De Leon. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (59), Holmes County still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Emma Whitaker, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Oost, who scored 13 points.
Bozeman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Holmes County, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Bozeman was taken down by Holmes County 72-44 in their previous matchup on Monday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Holmes County's Whitaker, who scored 22 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals.
