Penelope is 1-9 against Milford since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Penelope Wolverines will be staying on the road to face off against the Milford Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on January 19th. Penelope comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Penelope suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 48-7 loss at the hands of Avalon. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Penelope has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Milford entered their tilt with Oakwood with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Milford walked away with a 48-41 win over Oakwood on Friday.
Penelope bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Milford, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Penelope might still be hurting after the 44-24 loss they got from Milford when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Penelope avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
