Fox River Classic recap October 29, 2013
Ashwaubenon was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Jaguars came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Bay Port's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alec Ingold threw for 143 and 3 touchdowns and Connor Destache had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Ingold chipped in 137 yards. Mac Cisar helped Bay Port's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 38 yards.
Ingold was the best running back in Fox River Classic this week. He ran for 137 yards on 15 carries as the Pirates beat Everest. Max Biebel also contributed to the rushing game with 106 yards on the ground.
Bay Port's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pirates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ingold has thrown for 1,312 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Blair Van Ess has 36 catches for 618 yards.
Preble moved up to 91 from 130 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Hornets were able to move up by beating Wausau West 13-12.
