It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ridgeview Panthers can now relate to. They fell to the Raiders 51-46. Ridgeview's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nia Blocton, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Blocton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nacoya Blocton, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Ridgeview struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Rickards, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
Ridgeview will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Hopefully Ridgeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. Rickards is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Fort Walton Beach is ranked 68th, while Rickards is ranked 44th).
