St. John Bosco Academy lost against the Horizon Christian Academy Warriors back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. John Bosco Academy fell 52-42 to Horizon Christian Academy. St. John Bosco Academy has struggled against Horizon Christian Academy recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Nyla Black, who scored 34 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks for Horizon Christian Academy. Black hasn't dropped below 15 points for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Hester, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
St. John Bosco Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Horizon Christian Academy, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John Bosco Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Notre Dame Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Notre Dame Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while St. John Bosco Academy is ranked 141st). As for Horizon Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
