This season hasn't been kind to the Central Christian Academy Chargers , who are still winless after their seventh matchup. Central Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Purdue Broad Ripple apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Despite the loss, Central Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Josiah Riggins dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Riggins continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Jordan Worthen was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five steals.
Among those leading the charge was Nate Mahome, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Bacon, who scored 20 points.
Central Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Central Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Herron at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Herron is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
