Lakeland Preparatory came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the KIPP Collegiate phoenix get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Bryce Thomas looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Lakeland Preparatory let Jack McDaniel and Peeler Easton run wild. McDaniel scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Easton scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Easton a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Wyatt Helton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Lakeland Preparatory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lakeland Preparatory pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for KIPP Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeland Preparatory will host Rossville Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for KIPP Collegiate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Memphis Business Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
