The Jefferson Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Samuell, falling 41-7. Jefferson has struggled against Samuell recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Jayden Murphy rushed for 13 yards and a touchdown. Angel Abea was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards. On the ground, Jovani Soberanes rushed for 40 yards.
Jefferson's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 2-7 Samuell and 3-5 Venus (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.9% over those games).
