Frostproof hasn't had much luck against Avon Park recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Frostproof will be playing at home against Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. Frostproof is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Frostproof is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Haines City on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Frostproof let Luke Thornton and Bradley Roberts run wild. Thornton scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Roberts scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Roberts a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Ricky Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Frostproof kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Haines City only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, Avon Park entered their game against Sebring on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Avon Park fell 6-3 to Sebring. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Eric Harrison put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Harrison wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jace King, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Frostproof's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing nine hits in those games compared to only 4.83 in the others. As for Avon Park, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Frostproof might still be hurting after the 11-2 defeat they got from Avon Park when the teams last played back in February. Will Frostproof have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
