Tree of Life Christian is 8-2 against Shekinah Christian since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Flames at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Tree of Life Christian took a 18-run defeat the last time they faced off against Delaware Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Eagles 13-12 on Saturday.

Jacob Brown and Samuel Jackson made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Brown pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jackson struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Brown has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Brown scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Jackson went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three hits gave Brown a new career-high.
In other batting news, Tree of Life Christian got a big performance out of Meshach Bishara, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Bishara has posted since back in April of 2024. Andrew Jackson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Shekinah Christian put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout last Friday. They never let Northside Christian get on the board and left with a 24-0 win. Fans of the Flames have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Tree of Life Christian, Shekinah Christian also got a great game from a pair of two-way players: Jayce Yoder. On the mound, Yoder pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, AJ Yoder struck out ten batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). At bat, Yoder scored four runs while going 3-for-4, while AJ scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Aiden Nofziger was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Miller, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Shekinah Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside Christian struck out 14 times.
Tree of Life Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Shekinah Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tree of Life Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Shekinah Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tree of Life Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Shekinah Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Flames have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
