The Blythewood Bengals won the last time they faced the Rock Hill Bearcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Blythewood snuck past Rock Hill with a 51-45 victory. Given Blythewood's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Rock Hill is ranked 118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Blythewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taurus Lewis Jr, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Olden, who scored 13 points.
Blythewood is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Rock Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-18.
Blythewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-42 win vs. Spring Valley on the 9th. Rock Hill has also already played their next match, a 58-38 defeat against Clover on the 9th.
