The Liberty Christian Patriots stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over Bethel Christian Academy. Given Liberty Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Bethel Christian Academy is ranked 603rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jakeem Bradford, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Nate Young was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds.
Liberty Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Bethel Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.
Liberty Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they and Greenville Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Greenville Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday.
