That was a full 59.5% of Erie First Christian Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tyshaun Tate, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-42, which was the final score in Iroquois' tilt against Girard on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Iroquois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Girard is ranked 96th).
Despite their defeat, Iroquois saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kellen Burroughs, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Burroughs is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Lucas, who scored 11 points.
Erie First Christian Academy's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Iroquois, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Erie First Christian Academy came up short against Iroquois in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 45-33. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Burroughs, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds.
