Baseball Recap: Cache Has No Trouble Against Eisenhower

Cache barely beat Eisenhower the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Cache put the hurt on Eisenhower with a sharp 12-4 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cale Huntley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Deshaun Harvey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Montgomery, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cache always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eisenhower only posted an OBP of .375.

Cache's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Eisenhower, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cache will square off against Pauls Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eisenhower, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Putnam City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
