The Canterbury Crusaders extended their postseason success on Thursday against the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons. They were the clear victor by a 56-32 margin over the Dragons. The victory was familiar territory for Canterbury who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Jordan Battle, who rushed for 386 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 14.8 yards per carry. Battle really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Roman Wilder and his 208 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Canterbury's victory.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ajani Zahira, who rushed for 195 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Frantz Valbrun, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Canterbury is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-5.
Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind also has no future games currently scheduled.
