The Kamiakin Braves will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Wenatchee Panthers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Kamiakin's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Kamiakin can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Pasco at home to the tune of 50-0. Given Kamiakin's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Pasco is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Camden Schmidt was his usual excellent self, rushing for 182 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. Dom Powell made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Wenatchee sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-21 victory over West Valley on Friday.
Their wins bumped Kamiakin to 7-2 and Wenatchee to 4-5.
