The Nativity BVM Green Wave lost against the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Nativity BVM fell 61-48 to the Hurricanes. That's two games in a row now that Nativity BVM has lost by exactly 13 points.
Despite the defeat, Nativity BVM saw an underclassman step up: Trey Keating scored 21 points. Keating hasn't dropped below 16 points for 13 straight games. Tyler Borden was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Nativity BVM's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Schuylkill Haven, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Nativity BVM won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Southern Columbia Area has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three contests. As for Schuylkill Haven, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Red Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Our Lady of Lourdes Regional will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 152nd).
