Baseball Recap: Hopewell Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Hopewell waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Mecklenburg Vikings a 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 14 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Hopewell's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Mecklenburg, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hopewell will welcome Hough at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The last four games the Huskies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for North Mecklenburg, they will be playing at home against West Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
