After flying high against the Carver Birmingham Rams last Saturday, the Ramsay Rams came back down to earth. Ramsay was dealt a 58-30 defeat at the hands of Jasper on Monday. Ramsay has not had much luck with Jasper recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jasper to victory, but perhaps none more so than Missy Odom, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Odom is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Hollingsworth, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Ramsay has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Jasper, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Ramsay won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sparkman at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Sparkman is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. Jasper won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hayden at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hayden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Jasper is ranked eighth).
