The Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Humble Christian. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Annapolis Christian Academy of the 27-20 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Humble Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelly Paulk, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Paulk is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lilly McMullen, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Annapolis Christian Academy bumped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Humble Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Annapolis Christian Academy will challenge Lifegate Christian at 11:00 p.m. on Friday. Lifegate Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Annapolis Christian Academy in Texas (Lifegate Christian is ranked 626th, while Annapolis Christian Academy is ranked 1518th). Humble Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on School of the Woods at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
