The Kent Island Buccaneers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Parkside 46-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Kent Island, who have now won seven contests by 23 points or more so far this season.
Shane Bogardus was his usual excellent self, rushing for 135 yards and four touchdowns. Austin Holland was another key contributor, rushing for 26 yards and two touchdowns.
The win makes it two in a row for Kent Island and bumps their season record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.5 points. As for Parkside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Kent Island will take on North Caroline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Caroline will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Parkside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
