While Madisonville put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Anderson-Shiro. The Madisonville Mustangs came out on top against the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls by a score of 5-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Dean West tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zane Blakley, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Cade Campbell also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Madisonville's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Anderson-Shiro, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

As for Anderson-Shiro, they will venture away from home to face off against Giddings at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Anderson-Shiro is facing Giddings at the right time seeing as Giddings is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
