The Syracuse Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Elkhart Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Syracuse has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Syracuse's strategy against the Panthers on Tuesday. Syracuse put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 68-42 victory. Given Syracuse's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 64th in Kansas, while the Panthers are ranked 275th in Colorado), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Elkhart, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-53 loss to the Trojans on Tuesday. Elkhart has not had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Elkhart, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Syracuse against the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 71-43 win. Does Syracuse have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
