Bladensburg is 2-8 against DuVal since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bladensburg Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the DuVal Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Bladensburg is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Bladensburg came up short against Northwestern and fell 55-48.
Meanwhile, DuVal had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 92-48 victory over High Point. DuVal has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 37 points or more this season.
Bladensburg has not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for DuVal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Bladensburg came up short against DuVal when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 47-40. Can Bladensburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
