The Classical Academy Caimans will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Fallbrook Warriors at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Classical Academy and three for Fallbrook.
Last Friday, Classical Academy lost to Coastal Academy at home by a decisive 55-37 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Issac Davis, who scored 14 points. That was a full 37.8% of Classical Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Yasin Amini, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Fallbrook fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Escondido on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Cougars 63-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Wednesday (56), Fallbrook still had to take the loss.
Classical Academy bumped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Fallbrook, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Classical Academy came up short against Fallbrook in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 62-52. Can Classical Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
