After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northampton, Springfield International were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 victory over Holyoke. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Springfield International.
Leading Springfield International to victory were Zahara Kibodya-Wilson and Giavanna Mars. Kibodya-Wilson scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Mars scored 22 points along with six rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mars has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Allanah Chambers, who scored three points along with 14 rebounds and six steals.
Springfield International's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Holyoke, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield International will square off against Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holyoke, they will head out on the road to challenge Northampton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
