Father Ryan won the last time they faced Overton and things went their way on Thursday too. Everything went the Father Ryan Irish's way against the Overton Bobcats as the Father Ryan Irish made off with a 12-6 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Irish considering their two-run performance the game before.

Kennedy Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits.

At the plate, Sydney Hucik was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Stella Coller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

The win got Father Ryan back to even at 1-1.

Father Ryan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pope John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. Overton will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Christ Presbyterian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 19th.
