Simon Tech is 3-0 against Animo Watts since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Simon Tech Huskies will be playing at home against the Animo Watts Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Simon Tech struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (WISH Academy had 1900% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Simon Tech took a serious blow against WISH Academy, falling 92-31. Simon Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-20.
Simon Tech's defeat came about despite a quality game from Karlos Hodgson , who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. Hodgson scored a full 48.4% of Simon Tech's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jamar Bell was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Animo Watts was the victim of a rough 61-36 defeat at the hands of Animo Venice on Monday.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaydin Smith, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 blocks. He scored a full 30.6% of Animo Watts' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jahari Fisher, who scored 9 points.
Simon Tech's win lifted them to 1-1 while WISH Academy's loss dropped them down to 4-3.
Everything came up roses for Simon Tech against Animo Watts in their previous matchup back in December of 2017 as the squad secured a 76-27 victory. Will Simon Tech repeat their success, or does Animo Watts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
