Basketball Recap: North Port Drops Highest Score of Season Against Imagine School at North Port

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Port). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Imagine School at North Port Sharks on Monday, sneaking past 69-66. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 65-58 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zahmir Jackson, who posted 21 points along with six boards and four steals. Jackson has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Rassbach, who had 14 points.

North Port now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Imagine School at North Port, their record is now 2-2.

Coming up, North Port will head out to square off against Charlotte at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Imagine School at North Port, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-62 loss against Saint Stephen's Episcopal on the 3rd.
